Summary
In
the first class, we discussed about the contract also the rules of this
subject. After that, the lecture gave us introduction about consumer behavior
such as the definition, description, and example. Consumer behavior as
those activities directly involved in obtaining, consuming, and disposing of
products and services, including the decision processes that precede and folor
these actions. Consumer behavior is the study if individuals, group or
organizations, and the processes they use to select, secure, use, and dispose
of products, services, experience or idea to satisfy needs and the impact that
that these processes have on the consumer and society. Actually, consumer
behavior talk about ‘Why
do consumers do what they do’. 4W+2H is the important thing if we study
about consumer behavior. 4W + 2H is What they buy ? ; Why
they buy it ? ; When they buy it ?;Where they buy it ?; How often they buy it
?; How often they use it ?
There
are three perspective of consumer behavior, those are perspective about making
decision, perspective about experience, and perspective about behavioral. The
other science that we can find in consumer behavior are sociology,
anthropology, economy, and psychology. There are several process in making
decision to buy a product. First, the introduction about consumer's needs.
Next, searching the information and evaluation (compare some choice to making
decision). And then, the consumer will buy the product based on their choice.
After buying the product, consumer will get their own happiness and
satisfaction. Last, consumer become consumptive.
